Reading a fiction book will increase your empathy, indeed. Eventho this is a fictional story, the reality in this book appears in certain places in Indo, Jakarta for example. Jakarta is a place for those who strive for their lives, hope for a better well being, and to come back wealthier to their hometown. However, it can also be a place that emerges deception, despair, lost, and resignation.
That’s how the life works. This is just a world that’s unfair and terrifying for some people—that’s why there will be an afterlife. But, I wanna ask you. If you think you have an overall bad life, what’d you choose:
1. Giving up and committing suicide. Because you couldn’t stand it anymore and think dead would be the best decision even you assume you’ll be fine even if you get into hell. Then, you wish your misery would be ended.
2. Keep going and opening. Opening what? Your eyes, you mind, you heart to everything that you’ve been missed the whole life.
Hey, suicidal is not the best decision to run away from your life and hell isn’t as simple as you think. This is you life and the only thing make it even more depressing is you. Your life is your own responsibility, not others.
W takes from this book that I brutally love are: When you’re overwhelming on your life, go outside and talk to others. You’ll see the world that you’ve missed, the story you can reflect on and grateful from, the people you can take lessons from them. Be gratefully enough on what you have. Start noticing and still hoping because the table will turn.
Jangan mati dulu, mie ayam masih enak.
